  1. Welcome:  Attending:  Amber Ashmore, Amber Adams, Kimmie Byers, Jessica Padilla, Chris Cook, Sara Cook, Rachael Borgman, April Doerr, Michelle Douglas, Gary Barlow, Valisha Zimmer

  2. Approval of last meeting minutes- April of 2017

  3. Treasurer’s Report: Shawn McCombs

    1. We are looking for a person to train this year and take over next year.

    2. Basic computer Excel spreadsheet use require but not difficult items.  No accounting experience required  

    3. Approval of last year’s report from June:  motion by: Robyn Mayer and Chris Cook

    4. This year’s budget:  

      1. Changes: Increased Accelerated Reading rewards

      2. Motion to approve: Rachel Borgman and Amber Ashmore  

    E.   Sept. 2017 Budget:  Assignment Notebook Money in budget for grades 3-6.

   F.    Motion to approve by: Valisha Zimmer

              G.  All financial reports are available and visible for anyone who wants to look.

  1. Principal’s Report: Mr. Barlow

    1. Brand New Website:   

    2. Conferences in October

    3. Book Fair in October

    4. Spirit week is going well with high levels of participation.   

    5. Midterm ends Friday. Grades going home next Wed.  

    6. School Picture day next Wednesday, 9/20  

    7. SIP early release day  Sept. 27

    8. Recess before Lunch through October conference.  Then, we will ask for parent feedback.  Student and staff feedback has been positive. The start up bill is $150 including two touch free hand sanitizing station

    9. Things we NEED:  Landscaping project is a work in progress.  

Request to fund removal of old bushes and addition of sod/grass seed and trees.   Cost: $500.

     j  How is parent pick up coming?  It is MUCH safer for students.

                k  Requests were made for updates to parking lot , building paint, blinds, entrance safety changes,  and carpet at the district level.  

    l.  Open House at Eisenhower for JSD #117’s 150th Sesquicentennial : January 24th.  

  1. Committee Reports

    1. AR Store:  NEED a volunteer to run this.  Timing is MAY.

    2. Beautification:  NEED multiple volunteers for this.  We do have a group of students who could help a parent during the day.  

    3. Birthday Books:  Laura Range, Tiffany Hickox will continue to run this.  

    4. Book Fair: We NEED volunteers first week of October, during conferences.  Oct 2nd: Set up, Open Tues AM.  Clean up Friday noon.  

First Week of December:  BOGO Book Fair  

March before spring break is last fair of the year.  

  1. Festival of Trees:  At Masonic Lodge   

  2. Fun and Fitness Day:  NEED VOLUNTEERS to run FUN and FITNESS

  3. Fundraising:  Shawn McCombs & April Doerr

April is planning to take this over next year.  

Willing to accept ideas for other fundraisers, however this is a 3 week effort for a $10,000+ payout which = ONLY ONE

There are dry foods available online.  

FINAL TURN IN:  Thursday 21st.  5:30.  Goal is $23,000.  We profit 40%

Assembly will be the 27th.  Limo Ride  OCT 5th  

  1. Spiritwear:  Mr Barlow- orders are submitted already.  

  2. Student Directory:  Passavant prints these.   

  3. Yearbook:  April Doerr puts it together. Josten’s app is much better- Thanks to teachers for sharing photos! Parents can share pictures also with app.  We can use phone pictures also now.  ReplayIt app.

    1. Will send a paper home soon to sell extra yearbooks from last year.  

    2. Spring will be orders for this year’s books.   

6.  New Business

-Leo’s Pack the House Night:  Will do 2 in winter, set up in November and Feb and a Wed and Thurs.  

-3 more meetings will be scheduled:  6 p.m.  Nov. 15, Feb. 28, April 18  

-Volunteers needed to bring items for snacks/ dinner for teachers during Parent Teacher Conferences
